No. Wondrous Tails Dog Training is 100% force-free. We do not use or recommend shock, prong, or choke collars. Instead we rely on rewards, management, and clear communication to teach your puppy not just how to behave, but how to thrive in your home.
Day training is very different from a board-and-train program. For one, day training takes place in your home and in the places you plan to frequent with your dog, while board-and-train typically takes place at a training facility. Because canine learning is context-specific, it can be hard for them to generalize what they might learn at a board-and-train facility to your home or neighborhood. By training directly in these places, we help set your pup up for longer-term success.
Day training also involves you and your family in your dog's learning. While Wondrous Tails will teach your pup new behaviors, it is still up to you and your family to practice in between sessions. You are involved in every step of your dog's training journey, meaning that you will also learn the needed skills to maintain your dog's good manners going forward.

That depends on your goals, your dog's unique situation, and how much time you and your family can dedicate to training. During your initial consult, we’ll discuss your goals, your lifestyle, and your bandwidth and decide on a training plan from there.
