Day training and private coaching designed just for your puppy, your home, and your lifestyle. No harsh tools, ever.
You have a new puppy under 10 months old
You want gentle, rewards-based training
You need clear, simple, fun guidance that fits into your busy lifestyle
You’d love a calm, confident family dog
If you nodded “yes” to any of these, an initial consult is the perfect first step.
Research shows that the experiences a dog has as a puppy can shape their nervous systems and personalities for the rest of their lives. Reward-based training builds confidence and trust in this critical stage of your dog's life. By choosing positive methods, you give your pup the best chance at becoming a happy, calm, and well-mannered adult dog.

We can begin as soon as your puppy comes home and has had at least one round of vaccinations, typically around 8–10 weeks. Beginning early with socialization, potty training, and establishing good habits is crucial for your dog's long-term happiness.
No. Wondrous Tails Dog Training is 100% force-free. We do not use or recommend shock, prong, or choke collars. Instead we rely on rewards, management, and clear communication to teach your puppy not just how to behave, but how to thrive in your home.
Day training is very different from a board-and-train program. For one, day training takes place in your home and in the places you plan to frequent with your puppy, while board-and-train typically takes place at a training facility. Because puppy learning is context-specific, it can be hard for them to generalize what they might learn at a board-and-train facility to your home or neighborhood. By training directly in these places, we help set your pup up for longer-term success.
Day training also involves you and your family in your pup's learning. While Wondrous Tails will teach your pup new behaviors, it is still up to you and your family to practice in between sessions. You are involved in every step of your pup's training journey, meaning that you will also learn the needed skills to maintain your puppy's good manners going forward.

That depends on your goals, your puppy’s age, and how much time you and your family can dedicate to training. During your initial consult, we’ll discuss your goals, your lifestyle, and your bandwidth and decide on a training plan from there.
